Imao sam 2012. N8, sada imam 1520 i jednostavno imam osecaj da xenon daje mnogo bolje rezultate od ovog dual LED-a.
Mislim nije xenon neki must have, al vec ono ako ulazes da bude dobra kamera stavi full paket... :-/
What Rudy and Amitojdeep say is good information. Fact is, the LED light is more versatile. It functions as a flashlight (torch) and potentially a video light, too.
But some of it's just plain cheapness, a flashtube circuit is large and more expensive. That circuit needs to deliver an initial very high voltage charge, on the order of 4,000-10,000 volts, to ionize the xenon gas in the tube, then another very high current pulse of around 300-400V for the bulk of the flash. That means you need a dc-dc converter and a large capacitor at high voltage to store the energy for the change. Such capacitors are also usually physically large, which is another problem in camera phone.
LEDs, on the other hand, run from low voltage. A bright white LED (which really doesn't exist -- each LED is actually monochromatic, white light isn't --- but via the combination of several LEDs, filters, quantum dots, and maybe other tricks, they can look white) might need a low as a +5V power source, but certainly not 4,000V or more. Some circuits do use a capacitor to avoid needing a high current booster supply or putting a huge instant drain on a phone, but the low voltages and relative long exposure time allow for use of supercapacitors, which are several orders of magnitude smaller than traditional caps for the same capacitance.
Brightness isn't a real issue... all modern xenon flashes use solid state control with sensor feedback to control the duration of the flash. However, that's a very fast circuit and would require a different sensor. An LED "flash" is basically just an instantaneous camera light -- rather than running 1/10,000th to 1/200,000th of a second as a Xenon flash does, an LED is on for a much longer time.
And while the control circuit will save that power for the next flash (it's kept in the capacitor), it can't recycle it back to the phone. A Xenon flash would use lots of power, relative to the LED.
